Enigmatic songstress Lykke Li will be heading to Australian shores to perform material from her critically acclaimed album Wounded Rhymes, proving her to be one of the hottest properties on the underground right now.

Undoubtedly one of the most respected acts in electronic music has to be Digitalism - and this time the boys are back with new album I Love You Dude, rumoured to be their best yet. Known for their crossover appeal to indie kids and electro heads, Digitalism are the act to follow if you’re serious about groundbreaking new music.

Parklife brings the dubstep movement to Australia with supergroup Magnetic Man, responsible for the floor- shakers I Need Air and Perfect Stranger. Made up of the three individual artists Skream, Benga and Artwork, Parklife will be the group’s first ever Australian shows. Collaborator on Perfect Stranger and current postergirl of dubstep is Katy B who also features on this year’s line-up, also her first Australian shows. Joining them will be pioneers of the dubstep scene Nero and legendary dubstep dj/mc duo Joker and MC Nomad who have smashed the underground with monster tracks like Tron and that remix of Simian Mobile Disco and Beth Ditto’s Cruel Intentions.

But if fans want to catch the real deal, they can. Both Simian Mobile Disco and the Gossip will be sharing the Parklife line-up - let’s hope they get to share the stage as well! Coveted studio producers and one of the biggest electronic acts around, Simian Mobile Disco always bring the good times when they perform.

Post-punk rock trio Gossip will take to the stage to showcase work from current album Music for Men and material from their new album set for release later in the year. Loved for their raw animal power and energetic sound, all eyes will be fixed on charismatic front-person Beth Ditto.

Surely the must-see performance of the summer goes to The Streets who will play their last ever Australian shows at Parklife. After five albums together, the band have decided to go their separate ways but not before giving Parklifers a show to remember.

Widely recognised for cultivating new sounds in the current music scenes, Parklife once again brings us the freshest talent around including; Death From Above 1979 who have reformed for a series of exclusive riot-inducing (remember SXSW?!) shows. Add to this The Naked & Famous, current UK no1. Example, SebastiAn, Gold Fields, Wolfgang Gartner, Feed Me, Kimbra and Flux Pavillion. Joining them is producer extraordinaire Diplo, Canadian duo MSTRKRFT and electro feel-good Mylo. Duck Sauce will also be performing and who can wait for what might be one of the standout moments of the festival when they play the infectious Barbra Streisand to thousands of fans in some the most beautiful inner-city surroundings on offer.

With acts like these, Parklife 2011 is guaranteed to bring you some unforgettable moments you and your best mates will share forever. Set in idyllic parks in the country’s five capital cities, Parklife offers the best in quality music in the scenes that matter the most now!
